National inflation declined to 8.71% following government economic initiatives, authorities announced in Dhaka on Monday. The Prime Minister’s Press Wing released the data to mark the administration’s first 100 days in office.
Dr Mahdi Amin, Advisor to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, confirmed the restoration of uninterrupted fuel and edible oil supplies. Detailing advancements in national defence, he announced the operational deployment of the Ground Master-400 radar. The modern system continuously tracks airspace up to 650 kilometres from Dhaka and 833 kilometres across the Bay of Bengal, enabling authorities to secure significant revenue by levying international overflight charges.
Defence agencies are actively integrating unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-drone mechanisms, and mine detectors to fortify territorial boundaries. Amin noted that the uncompromising posture maintained by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel directly reflects the administration’s core Bangladesh First policy.
The spokesperson attributed the current Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) legislative agenda to structural reforms initiated by former president Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia. He highlighted the policy evolution from the 2016 Vision 2030 and the 2022 27-point outline to the definitive 31-point framework finalised in 2023. Concurrently, the National Parliament enacted the July Warriors Indemnity Act to guarantee legal protection for casualties and participants of the recent student-mass movement. Amin affirmed that state officials remain strictly bound to the electoral pledges that secured the democratic mandate for the sheaf of paddy. “We are determined to implement the signed July Charter,” he stated.
