The price of all types of fuel has been increased by Tk 1 per liter. Among them, the price of diesel and kerosene has been increased by Tk 1, setting the new price at Tk 105. Furthermore, the price of octane has been increased by Tk 1 to Tk 126 per liter, and petrol has been set at Tk 122.

A notification was issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Friday (January 31). The notification states that these new prices will take effect from midnight on Friday. Since January 1, octane was being sold at Tk 125 per liter and petrol at Tk 121.

The notification further stated, “To ensure the supply of fuel at comparatively affordable prices for February, fuel prices have been readjusted in light of the pricing formula aimed at automatically setting fuel prices at the consumer level every month in line with fluctuations in global market prices.”
